Newcastle United have reportedly reignited their interest in Nicolas Jackson as Alexander Isak continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Premier League champions saw a £110million bid rejected earlier this month.
The 25-year-old has been training away from his teammates as his future remains precarious going into the final 10 days of the transfer window.
Eddie Howe's side remain in talks over a move for Yoane Wissa and had a bid rejected this week but have had a difficult summer recruitment after missing out on a host of transfer targets.
Reports have suggested that the Magpies have diverted their attention to Wolves star Jacob Strand Larsen, with a price tag of around £60million mooted.

And now journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Newcastle have called the Stamford Bridge club over the conditions to sign Jackson.
However, it is also being reported that the Magpies face a transfer battle for the Senegal striker with Bayern Munich, Aston Villa and Napoli all in the hunt.
"Nicolas Jackson is fully expected to part ways for Chelsea, a decision made on both sides it's the best moment to part ways and try something different," Romano said.
"For Nicolas Jackson, there is a crazy race ongoing with many top clubs interested in the player.
For Nicolas Jackson, there are several clubs calling for Nicolas Jackson.
"We have to consider Aston Villa, they've been pushing in recent days and made contact, Unai Emery was Nico Jackson's coach at Villarreal a few years ago so Villa pushing - let's see if they can reach an agreement.
"But more clubs interested, Newcastle are still there and interested.
It will be an interesting story to follow with the striker topic.
"Aston Villa, Newcastle but we have to add also strong interest from Bayern Munich.
"Bayern made some calls a few weeks ago, Bayern remain attentive to the situation.
Nicolas Jackson is going to be one of the big names for these final days of the transfer window."
