Liverpool’s summer signings could make their Premier League debuts for the Reds at home to AFC Bournemouth on Friday 15 August.

Arne Slot’s side have been busy in the early weeks of the transfer window.

Having last year agreed a £29m deal with Valencia for Giorgi Mamardashvili to join the club this summer, Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for £29.5m and Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia in a deal worth up to £1.5m.

The Reds are also closing in on the club record signing of Florian Wirtz after agreeing a deal worth up to £116m.

The Germany international is expected to undergo a medical on Friday following his return from holiday and complete his switch in the forthcoming days.

After signing the 22-year-old, Liverpool will look to wrap up the signing of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

That is unlikely to be the limit of the Reds’ summer incoming business, with the club also expected to move for a new centre-forward.

Meanwhile, they could be in the market for a new centre-back or even an additional forward, though the remaining dealings will be determined by outgoings.

Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez look set to make their Liverpool debuts in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace on the weekend of August 9/10.

They will then hope to make their maiden Premier League appearances for the Reds on the following Friday against Bournemouth.

If Liverpool wish for any of their other summer signings to be eligible to face the Cherries, they will need to be signed before midday on Thursday 14 August.

And should the Reds complete any business after the opening day of the Premier League season, supporters will have to wait a little longer to see the club’s new recruits in action.

Should players be signed after midday on Thursday 14 August, then an away trip to Newcastle United on the weekend of August 23/24 is instead their first opportunity to make their maiden appearance for the club.

Meanwhile, any players signed after 12pm on Friday 29 August face the mouth-watering prospect of being handed a Liverpool debut at home to Arsenal on August 30/31.

If any late signings miss that deadline - with the transfer window open until 11pm on Monday 1 September - they will not be free to represent the club until the Reds travel to Burnley on September 13/14.
