Alexander Isak is all smiles in training for Sweden days after completing a £125million move to Liverpool.

After months of speculation, the Reds eventually agreed a deal to sign the striker from Newcastle United - with that transfer completed on deadline day.

The same night as signing his contract as a new Liverpool player, Isak was travelling to Sweden to link-up with his international teammates for their round of fixtures this month.

Sweden will play Slovenia and Kosovo in World Cup qualifiers over the next few days while club football is on hiatus.

Isak is yet to play a match since the start of pre-season having not featured in any warm-up fixtures during his time at Newcastle before his move to Liverpool was confirmed.

The striker is currently with the Sweden squad preparing for the matches against Slovenia and Kosovo and is taking part in full team training.

On Thursday, Sweden's official X account posted a video of Isak during one of the country's latest training sessions.

The video showed Isak taking part in a shooting drill and him finding the top corner, before having a beaming smile across his face.

In the background, after Isak found the back of the net, someone could be heard saying: "He's here, he's fine."

It remains to be seen how many minutes Isak will get across the two fixtures for Sweden over the next few days.

The striker will, in turn, be hoping to play for Liverpool against Burnley in their return to Premier League action on Sunday, September 14 in what could be his debut for the club.
