Liverpool continue to be linked with a summer move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo(Image: Icon Sport via Getty Images)
Liverpool have been handed an update on Real Madrid's Rodrygo amid reports linking the winger with a move to Anfield.
However, rumours had already begun to circulate, with claims that Rodrygo had made a drastic decision never to play for Real Madrid again.
The Guardian later identified Liverpool, along with their rivals Arsenal and Manchester City, as being 'attentive' to the situation, ready to act if tensions escalate further over the summer.
And journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specialises in transfers, has provided the latest on Rodrygo's future in his latest newsletter for GIVEMESPORT.
"The Rodrygo situation is not decided at this stage," he said.
"So, despite links, there are still steps and decisions to make."

The player in question has now, for all intents and purposes, sought to silence any discussion of his feelings towards Real.
"Thanks for all the messages and concern.
I’ll be back soon [praying emoji]," a message to his Instagram story read on top of a photograph of the view from inside a recovery chamber.
The message concluded: "Stop making stuff up [facepalm emoji, male sign emoji]."
Rodrygo has previously revealed that he could have joined Liverpool before a move to Spain came about in 2018.
"We didn’t close the deal because I didn’t want to.
But it’s true, I almost went to Liverpool."
