Ally McCoist has given his verdict on a penalty decision during Liverpool's clash against Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
The Reds were facing the Eagles in the annual season curtain-raiser on Sunday afternoon at Wembley Stadium.
Hugo Ekitike had opened the scoring for Liverpool before Jean-Philippe Mateta equalised for Palace in the capital.
The Reds regained the lead with a strike from Jeremie Frimpong before Palace equalised again through Ismaila Sarr in the second half.
Palace wanted another penalty in the second half for a handball on Alexis Mac Allister.
Referee Chris Kavanagh did not point to the spot and the onfield decision was allowed to stand after a VAR check at Wembley.

TNT Sports were broadcasting the Community Shield with McCoist on commentary duty alongside Darren Fletcher.
During the VAR process for the penalty check, McCoist and Fletcher gave their verdicts on whether or not a spot-kick should have been awarded.
"He is wanting handball isn't he?" McCoist said on TNT's coverage of the game.
"He's claiming handball."

"When the cross came into the box Mac Allister's arm was high," commentator Darren Fletcher said.
"I don't think there is any doubt it hits his hand."
"He's had a look and he's cleared it so it's just a corner for Palace and again we don't get the opportunity to hear Chris Kavanagh on the mic," replied Fletcher, with McCoist concluding: "I think we are in agreement it definitely touched Mac Allister's arm."
The match would finish 2-2 after 90 minutes with a penalty shootout needed to determine the winner of the tie.
