Monday marks the final day of several Liverpool players' contracts with the club, as they prepare to depart on free transfers.

June 30 is typically the date when the vast majority of player contracts come to an end, meaning any player without a renewed deal will become a free agent.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was on the brink of exiting Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of this month.



However, the Reds managed to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid, enabling the right-back to make an early move to the Santiago Bernabeu and compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Liverpool announced its retained list in the first week of June, revealing that seven academy players would be leaving once their contracts expired.

Jakub Orjzynski, Dominic Corness, Reece Trueman, Lee Jonas, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers and Jacob Poytress will all part ways with Liverpool

Their contracts expire at the end of June, making them free agents from July 1 (Tuesday).

Liverpool also confirmed at the time that it had extended contract offers to eight other academy members.

Kareem Ahmed, Keyrol Figueroa, Emmanuel Airoboma, Wellity Lucky, Terence Miles, Ranel Young, Michael Laffey and Kyle Kelly have all been offered fresh contracts by the club, in a bid to keep these promising talents within the academy set-up at the AXA Training Centre.

Liverpool is set for a significant overhaul of their academy this summer, following the exits of Barry Lewtas, the Under-21 head coach, and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, who was at the helm of the Under-18s.

Just last week, it was announced that former Wales boss Rob Page has taken up the reins as Lewtas' replacement, becoming the new manager of Liverpool Under-21s.

Regarding other departures from the first team, Caoimhin Kelleher has already sealed a permanent switch to Brentford earlier this summer, while Nat Phillips has departed to join West Bromwich Albion
