Liverpool appears to be the most likely destination for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak this summer, if the Magpies can be convinced to cash in on the Swedish forward.

Last week, Liverpool made an initial approach to Newcastle to gauge its stance on Isak, which has long been that he isn't for sale.

Isak scored 23 goals in the Premier League last season, with only Mohamed Salah netting more.

"It's hard to turn Liverpool down when they look like the favorites to win the Champions League and the favorites to win the Premier League," former Reds striker and Newcastle coach Dean Saunders told Liverpool.com this week.
