Liverpool are still set to make some bold decisions regarding their squad for next season.

The Reds are not messing around this summer and if there is a player they want, best believe they are going to go all-out to get them.

That has been the case so far at least, with Jeremie Frimpong already through the door at Anfield, while Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are set to follow swiftly behind.

A striker is still on the agenda and Alexander Isak could still join Liverpool, although it is highly unlikely and would cost them an absolute fortune.

However, the rumours continue to persist and it would be no surprise to see the Reds have another trick up their sleeve, with the Merseyside club now also having another reason to try and get him as soon as possible.

The Premier League fixtures have been announced and, as always, it sends fans into meltdown, although Liverpool might be fairly happy with theirs.

The Reds raise the curtain on the new season when playing Bournemouth on Friday 15th August in an 8pm kick-off, before travelling to Newcastle the week after.

If Liverpool do want to sign Isak and avoid coming up against him at all next season, this gives them more of an incentive to get the deal done as soon as possible.

Around £130m-£140m would likely be the fee that the Magpies would consider, suggesting just how hard a deal would be but also why negotiations need to start very soon if they want to avoid playing against him.

The Swede has scored four goals in six games against the Reds and almost always causes the defence a huge problem, suggesting the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate will also like the deal done quickly if Liverpool are to sign him.

After playing Newcastle, the Reds have another tough fixture next as they face runners-up Arsenal at Anfield, before travelling to newly-promoted Burnley after the international break.

The first Merseyside derby awaits the conclusion of that as Liverpool host their not-so-near neighbours Everton, followed by back-to-back away fixtures against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

The Reds’ final big meeting within the first 10 games comes against Manchester United at home in gameweek eight.

It is certainly an exciting time for fans and something to look forward to, but first, Liverpool have a pre-season tour of Asia to attend to.
