Liverpool have sent their scouts to watch two of the World Cup's biggest stars, one is making history - Romano
Liverpool have been watching World Cup starts Cody Gakpo and Mohammed Kudus since before the tournament started.
Romano on Liverpool interest in Gakpo and Kudus
He said: “Liverpool have sent their scouts to PSV games to monitor Gakpo, they did the same with Kudus for example.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that the Reds have had their scouts watching both men before the tournament they have now shone at.
“For sure, with this kind of super performances, interest is growing – and Man United remain in the race.”
Gakpo has made history as the first Dutch player to score in the first three games of the World Cup and only three of his countrymen have ever netted in three consecutive matches at the tournament, full stop.
