Liverpool continue to be linked with interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer - ahead of the club coming up against the player this weekend.
The Reds will take on FA Cup winners Palace in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Palace manager, Oliver Glasner, has confirmed that Guehi will wear the captain's armband for that game, despite there being speculation over his future.
The defender has just a year remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, meaning that this summer could be the last chance for Palace to get a decent fee for him unless he puts pen-to-paper on a new deal.
Chelsea have previously been linked with an interest in their former player - but they are said to be focusing on different targets - potentially giving Liverpool a free run at the England international.

Liverpool have strengthened up their attacking options, so far, this summer with the signings of Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike amid links to Alexander Isak.
Concentration could soon turn to centre-back reinforcements with Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez currently their only first-team options.
Liverpool are showing an interest in Guehi, but any would-be move could depend on how flexible Palace are with their asking price this summer.
The Reds are ready to play the waiting game for Guehi in the hope that his price drops.

If they do make a move for the England player this summer, then they could have two secret weapons who could help them complete a move.
Gomez and midfielder Curtis Jones have been included in Three Lions' squads alongside Guehi recently.
Spending time with the defender - both in training and on away trips - may have allowed the Liverpool duo to get in his ear to help persuade him to make the move to Anfield this season.
The Community Shield at the weekend could also be a chance for the international teammates to catch up.
It also gives the Reds another chance to take a look at the centre-back, up close, ahead of a potential move.
