With Ziyech seemingly on the market, should perhaps Liverpool take a look at the Moroccan?
According to various reports, Chelsea and Milan are in talks over the possible loan deal of attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech.
A low-cost gamble that may or may not work.
Yet a stumbling block is Ziyech’s wages, which at £100,000-per-week are out of their price range for now.
Milan, who have a good relationship with Chelsea owing to the Fikayo Tomori transfer, are in talks over a season-long loan.
For Ziyech, he would have more of a chance to play at Liverpool than he seemingly does currently at Chelsea, and he would have a better chance of winning honours, with Chelsea twice beaten by Liverpool in the domestic cup finals on penalties.
On a financial level, Liverpool could more than afford to absorb Ziyech’s wages into the club’s wage bill, even with the bumper contract extension for Salah.
