Jereme Frimpong's shirt number at Liverpool will be announced at a later date after the full-back made a £29.5m move to Anfield on Friday.
The Reds moved quickly to sign the 24-year-old from Bayer Leverkusen two days before the first transfer window opens this summer as they triggered the release clause in his contract with the Bundesliga outfit.
The Netherlands international, who was on the Reds' radar as a teenager before he joined Manchester City, will join up with his new team-mates at the AXA Training Centre at the start of July when Liverpool's preparations for the new Premier League season begin.

As it stands, Frimpong's first appearance in a red shirt could come on the club's tour of Asia at the end of July, with the Reds facing AC Milan in Hong Kong on July 26 and Yokohama F.
Marinos four days later in Japan.
However, it remains to be seen what number Frimpong will wear at Anfield, with the Reds revealing on Friday afternoon that his squad number would be decided at a later date.
In the six seasons since he left Manchester City, Frimpong has sported the No.30 shirt at Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen.
The No.30 shirt is currently free at Anfield, having not been donned by a first-team player since Suso broke into Brendan Rodgers' plans for the 2014/15 season.
The No.2, meanwhile, viewed as a more traditional number for a right-back, is occupied by Joe Gomez.

But that shirt number could be vacant if Gomez, who saw a transfer to Newcastle United fall through last summer, leaves Anfield.
Frimpong will officially become a Liverpool player on June 1.
