Liverpool are preparing for an almighty party this weekend as the Premier League trophy comes to town.
The Reds secured their title almost one month ago after beating Tottenham Hotspur in stirring fashion.
And while the celebrations that marked that victory were incredible to witness, Sunday’s trophy lift may just top it.
There is one thing that is just sticking in the craw ahead of the game against Crystal Palace, though, and that is exactly what will happen with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold is leaving Liverpool after turning down several offers to stay.
The Scouser will leave for Real Madrid and will do so on a free transfer.
After he was roundly booed at Anfield while playing against Arsenal two weeks ago, Jurgen Klopp has come out to defend Alexander-Arnold and scold Liverpool fans in the process.
And with Klopp’s words perhaps raising apprehension ahead of Sunday, it has been hinted whether the right-back will be afforded a goodbye.

While Sunday is clearly going to be a very special occasion at Anfield, there is the prospect that Alexander-Arnold’s mere presence causes a shift in the mood.
The 26-year-old has been a hot topic ever since supporters let him know what they think of the way he is exiting their club this summer.

Klopp wading in was as inevitable as it was unnecessary and has reignited the feeling that Alexander-Arnold’s exit is bringing the fanbase into disrepute.
When players have been in similar positions to him in the past, they have always been granted a guard of honour and applauded by supporters.
Klopp’s own goodbye last year was preceded by farewells for Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara, two players who have done less for the club than Alexander-Arnold.

But, given the strength of feeling surrounding the full-back, doing the same this time would feel foolish and could potentially ruin the day to some extent for Liverpool.
Thankfully, as released by Liverpoolfc.com on Friday, the Reds’ post-match schedule on Sunday does not include an on-pitch goodbye for Alexander-Arnold.
That is not to say it definitely will not happen, but it would now be a surprise to see the No.
66 honoured in any public way.
With Alexander-Arnold not mentioned in Liverpool’s plans, there is plenty for supporters to look forward to instead.
Following the final whistle of the game, the players will reportedly head into the changing rooms while a stage is constructed on the pitch.
10 minutes later, the Liverpool squad will emerge to collect their medals and the trophy will be lifted.
After media interviews, a lap of honour will then be conducted, with players and coaching staff taking around 20 minutes to show the trophy off to supporters.
Individual awards will also reportedly be handed out during this time, with Salah likely to receive the Golden Boot and Playmaker Award.
