Liverpool include surprise names in 2025/26 Premier League squad

The Reds sit top of the table after three wins from three, with Arne Slot earning Premier League Manager of the Month for August.

Liverpool entered the September international break as the only team in the division with a perfect record, winning all their matches so far this season.

Arne Slot’s squad has seen changes since their last outing, with Alexander Isak joining from Newcastle United on deadline day, while Harvey Elliott, Kostas Tsimikas, and James McConnell have all left on loan.

The finalised senior squad for the first half of the season has now been submitted.

Premier League rules allow a maximum of 25 players over 21, with at least eight homegrown players.

Liverpool have seven homegrown players, including Freddie Woodman, Fabian Mrozek, Joe Gomez, Rhys Williams, Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong, and Curtis Jones.

Williams spent last season on loan at Morecambe, who were relegated from League Two last season – their second relegation in the past three seasons.

Right-back Calvin Ramsay, who was on loan at Kilmarnock last season, is set to stay with the U21s alongside Mrozek and Williams, but as he is not classed as homegrown, he still takes up a senior squad place.

Under-21 players, including Rio Ngumoha, Giovanni Leoni, Trey Nyoni, Stefan Bajcetic, Jayden Danns, and Armin Pecsi, were not required to be registered, as they were born on or after January 1, 2004.

Below is the full Liverpool 2025/26 Premier League squad:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Mamardashvili, Woodman, Mrozek, Pecsi

Defenders: Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez, Williams, Bradley, Frimpong, Robertson, Kerkez, Ramsay, Leoni

Midfielders: Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones, Endo, Nyoni, Bajcetic

Forwards: Salah, Isak, Gakpo, Ekitike, Chiesa, Ngumoha, Danns
