Liverpool are now reportedly keeping tabs on Chelsea’s young goalkeeper Freddy Bernal.
He’s already trained with Chelsea’s first team and has made several appearances for their under-18 side this season. His performances have not gone unnoticed — and not just in London.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed Arsenal’s offer and Chelsea’s quick response.“Arsenal have offered Chelsea £1.25m for England U18 goalkeeper Freddy Bernal,” Romano said.
Signing Bernal would show Liverpool are not only thinking about the now — but planning for the long-term future between the sticks.
Bernal, who has also played for England’s under-17 and under-18 teams, impressed in key games this season.
Not bad for someone who was part of Chelsea’s U15 title-winning side just last year.
Chelsea, however, appears determined to hold on to their talent. For more news relating to Arsenal, visit our sister site AFC Latest Live.
