Dominik Szoboszlai stood by the red card decision that sparked a frustrating evening for the Liverpool midfielder and colleague Milos Kerkez.
Szoboszlai captained Hungary during their thrilling 2-2 World Cup qualifying stalemate against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday night.
Hungary surged to a commanding two-goal advantage with the Reds star setting up Roland Sallai's second strike through a corner kick, before witnessing the hosts mount a comeback with Swansea City's Adam Idah netting a last-gasp leveller.

The away team battled through over thirty minutes a man down following Sallai's dismissal for a reckless tackle on Dara O'Shea.
Szoboszlai commented: "I hope everyone has learned, so you can't react to any move against us.

"However, I have to defend Sala (Roland Sallai), he would never intentionally harm anyone, and he didn't want to now either.
"However, if this is red, the first Irish goal should also be watched."
Szoboszlai received a yellow card during the opening period of a heated clash in which Kerkez was withdrawn with ten minutes left on the clock.
The Liverpool midfielder continued: "I am also proud that we were able to fight like this for 50 minutes with a man deficit.
"The first half was a dream start, if we had kept it up, the whole match would have been like this, there will be matches where a point will be worth gold."

Elsewhere, Rio Ngumoha delivered another impressive cameo appearance to assist England under-19s secure a 3-3 stalemate with Spain in Murcia.
Ngumoha came on in the final quarter and set up a goal for Everton's young talent, Harrison Armstrong, in the 87th minute of the match, where Liverpool's Trey Nyoni also featured for the first 69 minutes.
Meanwhile, Wataru Endo played the entire game as Japan, already qualified for the World Cup, held Mexico to a goalless draw in a friendly match in Oakland, USA.
