Liverpool have been handed an update regarding the future of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
A report in The Times has claimed that Newcastle are "concerned" that the Reds will make a bid to try and sign Isak this summer, and are willing to make the striker a contract offer to fend off interest from Liverpool.

It has been reported that Liverpool do have the money available to make an offer for Isak, but the Sweden international has not shown a desire to leave St James' Park at this stage.
Various reports have previously claimed that Newcastle value Isak between £100million and £150million and potentially beyond.
An update has emerged regarding Darwin Nunez's future at Liverpool.

It has been reported by talkSPORT that the striker is "pushing" to leave the Reds this summer amid continued speculation about his future.
AC Milan, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have all previously been linked with a move with signing Nunez this summer.
The report claims that Liverpool would be open to letting Nunez leave the club on a permanent deal to raise the funds to sign a new centre forward.
