Liverpool are reportedly interested in Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, with the 25-year-old viewed as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.
Salah has been a key player since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, helping them win two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
The 32-year-old also committed his future to the club last month after signing a new two-year contract, but Liverpool are continuing to plan for the future with reports stating that they are eyeing a move for Mbeumo.
However, they are set to face competition from a number of other clubs including Newcastle and Chelsea.
According to a fresh report from the Telegraph, Brentford have set an asking price of more than £60million for Mbeumo.
The forward, who has scored 18 league goals this season, has been a crucial player for Brentford since joining the club in 2019 when they were still in the Championship.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank was recently quizzed about his future and insisted Mbeumo is "very happy" in West London.

"I think it's pretty high, no matter what, if I'm honest," Frank said when asked if Mbeumo's asking price could increase if he hit the 20 goal landmark.
I know that Bryan is very happy being here at Brentford, he's thriving, doing well and playing fantastic.
