Liverpool have paid a touching tribute by placing club legend Alan Hansen at the heart of their Premier League title celebrations on Sunday.
It's an apt choice from the club, given that Hansen bounced back from a major health scare last year.
The former centre-back, who clocked up 620 appearances for the Reds and won eight league titles, was hospitalised in June due to poor health.
The ex-Liverpool captain was honoured with a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his contributions to football and broadcasting.

During his 14-year stint at Liverpool, he claimed three European Cups, eight league titles, two FA Cups and three League Cups.
Post-retirement, Hansen carved out a successful career as a pundit and was a staple on Match of the Day alongside his former Liverpool colleague Mark Lawrenson and host Gary Lineker.
Hansen will have the honour of presenting the trophy to Van Dijk, with the celebration also featuring Mark and Jo McVeigh from the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
The charity, set up in memory of their son who passed away from leukaemia, collaborates with Alder Hey Children's Hospital to support families facing similar challenges.
Fresh from signing a new two-year deal with Liverpool, Van Dijk is eager to meet Hansen, the former captain of the Reds.
The Dutch defender has already spoken about the significance of winning the title under Arne Slot's first year as manager.
"I speak about everyone who is connected to Liverpool can celebrate and enjoy because that is what you should do as well," he remarked following the victory over Tottenham that secured the league.
"Obviously I think, in my opinion, it is the hardest league in the world to win so when it is a glorious day in terms of the atmosphere, the weather and a good opponent.
"It was incredible to be a part of and I think the manager touched on it already on the pitch that we have now two titles in five years, so that is a big achievement in my opinion.
"Around that time (of Jurgen Klopp's leaving announcement) we were still fighting for the title as well and I had a lot of confidence in my team."
