Liverpool supporters are readying themselves for an exciting summer transfer window after seeing their team win the Premier League.
Although the Reds were runaway winners of the English top flight, there are still obvious improvements that can be made to the squad.
With plenty of money to spend and a clear idea on where best to use it, Liverpool should be in line to make numerous additions over the coming months.
Some of those brought in will be done so with the remit of going straight into the starting XI.
However, there is also a need to raise the floor of the Liverpool squad, with others being brought in to give Arne Slot further options.
And as the Reds get stuck into finding the right players to fit all of their needs, they are reportedly keeping a close watch on proceedings at Argentine giants River Plate.

Although River Plate are an enormous club in the context of Argentinian and South American football, it would be a surprise if Liverpool were to shop at Estadio Monumental for new signings who will become instant starters.
Instead, River Plate boast a number of big prospects who could come in with the potential to make an impact in the future.

And according to a report in The Daily Mail, Liverpool scouts have been keeping a close watch over them in recent times.
The Reds’ talent spotters are said to have been taking a notable interest in River Plate as well as Spanish club Real Betis and regular collaborators RB Leipzig.
Of the three clubs, it is River Plate who provide the most intrigue.

The Buenos Aires behemoth’s currently boast one of world football’s most exciting talents in Franco Mastantuono.
Liverpool have been linked with Mastantuono already and the 17-year-old looks destined for a career at the top of the European game.
As well as Mastantuono, River have two more highly-rated youngsters coming through in Ian Subiabre and Agustin Ruberto.
As Rousing The Kop revealed in February, Liverpool were impressed by Subiabre and Ruberto at the recent South American U20 Championship.
If Liverpool can pull off the signing of Mastantuono it would be a really exciting coup for the Reds.
However, either Subiabre or Ruberto arriving would also be noteworthy.
All three look set to make the move to Europe at some stage soon and Liverpool are clearly weighing up whether to make their move.
Away from River Plate, it’s also interesting to speculate which other players Reds scouts could have their eye on as part of this latest update.
The Mail confirm Xavi Simons and Benjamin Sesko are the most likely subject of Liverpool’s attention in Leipzig, but the Betis question is left unanswered.
In our opinion, it’s possible Liverpool are keeping tabs on defensive midfielder Johnny Cardoso.
The Reds could do with a back-up to Ryan Gravenberch next season and the American could fit the bill.
