'Next Luis Díaz' on the move According to Portuguese outlet A Bola (via Sport Witness), Arsenal have made a €40m (£34m) bid for 'the next Luis Díaz', who took over from the Colombian at Porto when Liverpool signed him in January.

Arsenal have had a good transfer window already with some excellent additions having been made.

And during a press conference for his unveiling, Wijnaldum revealed the role that Mohamed Salah played in helping convince him on the deal.

Spanish paper AS (via Paisley Gates) have reported that an offer of between €40-50m (£34-42m) would be enough to tempt Villarreal into selling their young star, even though his release clause stands at €80m (£67m).

"I wanted to come because of the effort the club made to sign me and because I spoke to Salah and Kevin Strootman about the club and the city and I only heard good stories about it," Wijnaldum explained (via the Daily Mail).
