The Reds' forward was involved in a fatal car accident in northern Spain on Thursday (July 3), while travelling with his brother, Andre Silva, who also sadly lost his life.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after midnight, but both Jota and Silva, a player for Portuguese second-tier team Penafiel, were declared dead.
Their bodies were flown back to their native Portugal on Thursday evening, with a wake held in Gondomar on Friday morning (July 4).
Their funeral service is scheduled for Saturday (July 5).

The initial group of Liverpool players were set to report to the AXA Training Centre on Friday (July 4), with a larger group expected on Monday (July 7).
However, according to the ECHO, the decision to postpone the summer schedule has now been made.
