They report that Fluminense have turned down a significant €7 million offer from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk for their 18-year-old midfield sensation Isaque, as the Brazilian wonderkid continues to attract attention from Europe’s elite clubs.

The rejection of Shakhtar’s bid comes amid growing interest from not only Liverpool but also from Manchester City, who are said to have both made enquiries about the attacking midfielder but are yet to table formal offers.

Isaque Severino Silva, born in São Carlos and considered one of the brightest prospects to emerge from Fluminense’s renowned Xerém academy, has caught the eye despite limited first-team appearances.

The teenager only made his professional debut in December 2024 but has already established himself as a key figure in Brazil’s youth setup

The club renewed his contract until 2029 in February, demonstrating their commitment to the player who was instrumental in their “Esquadrilha 07” generation that won both the Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Brasileiro sub-17 last year.

Isaque netted six goals and contributed four assists to help secure victory in the U-17 Copa do Brasil.
