Liverpool have appointed Jonathan Power as their new club doctor.
News of Power’s appointment arrives at the end of a hectic week of change at Liverpool, with two senior recruitment figures set to leave at the end of May.
He is expected to take formally take up the role when Jurgen Klopp’s side begin their World Cup break training camp in Dubai early next month.
He was involved with the under-17s side that won the World Cup in 2017 under former Reds’ youth coach Steve Cooper as well as the under-19s team.
Power arrives as the direct replacement for Jim Moxon, whose departure from Anfield was confirmed in August just days before the start of the new season.
Power also served two years at the match day doctor for Brentford until as well as club doctor for rugby teams Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie.
It also emerged that director of research Ian Graham is set to depart from his position next summer having tended his resignation in June after a decade.
