Liverpool fans should be braced for quite a few departures this summer.

Andy Robertson appears to be leaning towards a move to Atletico Madrid as Liverpool prepare to install Kerkez as their new first-choice left-back.

The Scottish captain’s era at Anfield looks set to end after seven successful years.

Federico Chiesa’s brief Liverpool stint is also nearing conclusion, with the Italian winger pushing for a return to Serie A after struggling for game time under Arne Slot.

Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez faces an uncertain future, with Napoli making “serious and concrete” contact for the Uruguayan striker, though the forward remains open to European options over lucrative Saudi Arabian offers.

But one Liverpool man in Vitezslav Jaros is quietly going about securing a move to Ajax Amsterdam.

John Heitinga departed his role under Slot this summer to take the reins at the Dutch giant, and he wants to bring the shot-stopper to the Netherlands.

With Remko Pasveer set to turn 42 later this year, the club sought a younger understudy who can challenge immediately and potentially become a future starter.

Now the ever-reliable Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf has reported that Jaros has successfully completed his Ajax medical this week:

“It is a matter of time before the arrival of Vitezslav Jaros (23) is announced,” the Eredivisie insider reported.

“The Czech goalkeeper, who is on loan from Liverpool for a year, passed the medical examination?

The lawyers are working on the final details of the contracts.”

Vitezslav Jaros arrived at Liverpool from Slavia Prague in August 2017 as a 16-year-old, quickly advancing through the academy and won the 2019 FA Youth Cup with the club.

Despite his promise, Jaros has had limited chances with Liverpool’s first team, featuring in just two senior matches during the 2024-25 campaign

The Czech goalkeeper made his Premier League debut on October 5, 2024, stepping in for the injured Alisson Becker and ill Caoimhin Kelleher to help secure a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.

He earned his first start later that month in the League Cup against Brighton
