Jaros joined Liverpool aged 15 back in 2017 for £300,000 from Slavia Prague in his homeland.

He has since appeared for the first team just twice, playing the second halves of pre-season friendly victories away to Tranmere Rovers and Karlsruher SC in July 2019 and 2023, respectively, registering a clean sheet in the former as the Reds scored six without reply.

And last season, Jurgen Klopp named him on the bench for three UEFA Europa League fixtures, away to LASK, and at home to Union Saint-Gilloise and Toulouse.

Previously, he spent time on loan at St Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland where he won the FAI Cup and their Player of the Year in 2021, Notts County, Stockport County and most recently, Sturm Graz where he won the Austrian Bundesliga and Cup double after joining in January.

The youngster made 21 appearances in all competitions after joining the Austrian side and impressed with his performances.

Jaros was presented with his first cap for the Czech Republic on Friday, playing the second 45 minutes of a 7-1 victory at home to Malta.

With the futures of Caoimhin Kelleher and Adrian uncertain, Jaros may receive his opportunity to impress the club’s new head coach Arne Slot when he returns from the Euros.

Liverpool have three confirmed pre-season fixtures against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in the US this summer.
