Rúben Amorim has been compared to Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou by Spurs star Pedro Porro.

Nevertheless, he continues to be the overwhelming favorite to take over from Klopp.

And should he arrive at Anfield, the Reds could be getting something similar to what Tottenham got last summer.

Coincidentally, Postecoglou has also been tentatively linked with the Liverpool job.

"He (Amorim) is young, has a lot of ambition, a little bit like Ange Postecoglou here at Tottenham," Porro said in an interview with Expresso.

It is known and recognized how Sporting and Tottenham play, there is a clear identity, whether winning 5-0 or losing 5-0."

Despite Amorim being the favorite for the Liverpool job, there is still no definitive word on who will succeed Klopp.

According to the ECHO, Liverpool is still at the vetting stage in its search for a new manager, and hasn’t ruled out making a ‘left-field appointment’ if Michael Edwards believes they can lead a new era of success.

Liverpool.com says: Postecoglou has done a good job since arriving at Tottenham, and he certainly has an entertaining style of play that fans enjoy, so seeing that at Anfield with Amorim would certainly appeal.

Spurs do have a lot of flaws though, so hopefully the Sporting boss has a slightly more solid version of what Postecoglou offers.

Although Liverpool is still in the process of identifying candidates for the job, Amorim should still be the outstanding option at this stage.
