Although Leoni would have arguably been the better move for Liverpool this summer, the transfer of Guehi is still on the table.

Although Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for the Englishman, the fact that Ibrahima Konate is still one of Slot’s players arguably poses a problem.

And, that’s because, if Guehi were brought in during the summer transfer window, he’d no doubt expect to be a starting XI player for the Reds with his partner likely to be Virgil van Dijk.

This is why Leoni would have been perfect for Liverpool as he’s only 18 years old, he’s 6 foot 4 inches and has a keen eye for a pass.
