Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai and his wife Borka Buzsik have announced the birth of their first child, a girl.
The family update has received a warm reaction from Reds teammates, both past and present.
Szoboszlai, 24, was married to Buzsik in a ceremony held in the Hungarian capital Budapest back in March.
Two months later, playing for Liverpool in their Premier League visit to Brighton, weeks after Arne Slot's side had been confirmed as 2024/25 champions, the midfielder scored the second of the Reds' goals in that 3-2 defeat, and using his celebration, he confirmed the couple were expecting a child.
Now on Sunday, August 3 the birth of a girl was confirmed with a joint post to Instagram showing their hands around the newborn, accompanied by a touching statement.

Liverpool's No.8 wrote: "Your birth means the world to me.

Supporting Szoboszlai and Buzsik by liking the post were Liverpool teammates Alexis Mac Allister, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez, Hugo Ekitike, Ibrahima Konate, Jeremie Frimpong, Kaide Gordon, and lastly fellow Hungarian Milos Kerkez, who joined his compatriot at the club from Bournemouth this summer.

Also endorsing his family update with likes were Luis Diaz, who last week left the Reds in a £65.5m transfer to Bayern Munich, and also Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose two-decade association with the club also came to an end this summer when he decided not to sign a new contract and instead join Real Madrid.
The full-back went further to respond to his former teammate's post, commenting a red heart emoji as a sign of affection.
And supporters of the midfielder through Liverpool, his former clubs and the Hungarian national team all shared their own messages of congratulations on the post, which after two hours had more than 200,000 interactions.
Szoboszlai has been a part of the Reds' pre-season preparations, featuring in all four friendlies played so far against Preston North End, the behind-closed-doors fixture vs Stoke City, and the two fixtures against AC Milan and Yokohama F.

With this family update it remains to be seen what role the 24-year-old therefore plays in the next scheduled matches to prepare for the new season.
On Monday, August 4, Liverpool welcome Athletic Bilbao to Anfield for a double header of fixtures.
At 5pm one Reds line-up will face a team fielded by their Spanish opposition, then afterwards at 8pm a second friendly will be contested by entirely different selections.

Liverpool's season then officially gets underway on Sunday, August 10 with the Community Shield showpiece at Wembley Stadium, contested between the recent Premier League victors and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace.
Slot's men begin the defence of their title five days later on Friday, August 15, with Bournemouth the visitors to Anfield in the campaign opener.
