Liverpool have sold several players this summer, with sporting director Richard Hughes earning a reputation for securing strong value in the transfer market.

The Reds sold academy graduates Jarell Quansah (£35m), Caoimhin Kelleher (£18m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.4m), and Nat Phillips (£3m), securing significant fees relative to each player’s circumstances.

Luis Diaz is also on the verge of sealing his transfer to Bayern Munich for £65.6million, while Napoli and Saudi Pro League clubs have been linked with a move for Darwin Nunez.

Federico Chiesa continues to be linked with a move away from Liverpool and is reportedly eyeing a return to the Serie A.

Chiesa, who joined the Premier League champions from Juventus last summer, struggled for game time under Slot last term.

He made just 14 appearances, scoring twice for the Reds.

The futures of Tyler Morton and Harvey Elliott remain uncertain amid interest from several clubs.

Olympique Lyonnais have expressed interest in signing Morton this summer.

The 22-year-old was part of England’s under-21 squad, which won the European Championship for the second successive time in Slovakia this summer.

Morton came through the ranks at Liverpool and has racked up 14 appearances for his boyhood club.

He spent the 2023-24 season on loan in the Championship at Hull City and the previous campaign at fellow Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.

According to The Athletic’s Andy Jones, Morton would be open to a move to Lyon, while the Reds would be interested in a permanent move.

Morton was in action for Liverpool as they lost 4-2 to AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday.
