Liverpool have agreed a £15million deal to sell midfielder Tyler Morton to Lyon.
The French side have negotiated a transfer having made Morton one of their chief targets this summer.
While not complete, the transfer is in the final stages with the 22-year-old now expected to make the move to the Ligue 1 side, with the overall package inclusive of attainable add-ons and containing a 20% sell-on clause.
A number of clubs, including Championship side Ipswich Town, were interested in signing Morton, who helped England retain the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in June.
None, though, have been able to match the offer of Lyon, despite the financial problems that have hampered the French side in recent times.

Those issues saw them relegated to Ligue 2 in June despite having finished sixth in the top flight last season and qualifying for the Europa League, although they were reinstated after an appeal the following month.

Morton, a homegrown Academy graduate, made his breakthrough in the Liverpool first team in a League Cup win at Norwich City in September 2021 and went on to start games in the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup that campaign.
He had successful season-long loan spells at Blackburn Rovers in 2022/23 and Hull City the following year before spending last term with Liverpool.

However, he managed only five appearances and didn't play a minute in the Premier League as the Reds romped to a record-equalling 20th title.
A shoulder injury meant Morton last featured in the matchday squad for a competitive fixture in January, although he has played regularly during the pre-season programme under Arne Slot.
Morton's exit would take Liverpool's potential transfer income for the summer up to £145m after the previous sales of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher, Nat Phillips, Jarell Quansah and Luis Diaz.
