Liverpool have made six summer signings and are not resting on their laurels after lifting the Premier League title last season.

The Reds have already brought in Florian Wirtz in a club-record deal alongside Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi, Freddie Woodman, Giorgi Marmardashvili, and Milos Kerkez.

The Premier League champions have been active in their efforts to strengthen Arne Slot’s squad, following the exits of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher to Real Madrid and Brentford, respectively.

Vitezslav Jaros has also signed for Ajax on loan.

Liverpool are looking to finalise a move for Hugo Ekitike, who flew to London on Tuesday morning to undergo his medical before joining his new teammates in Hong Kong for pre-season.

Slot’s side have agreed a £79million deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for the striker, with a potential £10million being add-ons.

The 23-year-old will sign a six-year deal with the Reds after completing the formalities and will become the club’s seventh summer signing.

It is believed that Liverpool are not done with their transfer business as they look to bring in at least one player.

Darwin Nunez is tipped to move on while Luis Diaz is open to leaving the club amid interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with the Reds bracing for another bid from the latter.

While the men’s first team continues to strengthen, Liverpool FC Women have also been busy signing new players and extending the contracts of key players.

They have completed the signing of Kirsty Maclean from Glasgow Rangers, as well as Germany goalkeeper Rafaela Borggrafe.

Scotland international Sam Kerr also joined the club from Bayern Munich.

According to The Athletic, Fuka Nagano is set to sign a new contract with Liverpool despite interest from Women’s Super League (WSL) rivals.

Everton and Manchester United had an interest in signing the out-of-contract Japan international midfielder, but the Reds have worked hard to ensure Nagano’s commitment remained to the club.

Nagano moved to Liverpool in January 2023 after spending a year at North Carolina Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

She has racked up 63 first-team appearances and scored one goal for Liverpool during her two-and-a-half seasons so far.
