Liverpool are looking really busy this summer after winning the Premier League, and the club is now moving forward for their fourth potential signing of the summer.
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner was asked whether it will be a busy summer ahead, and he replied: “It’s already busy.” This statement clearly reflects in the club’s transfer activity so far.
The Reds have already signed Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to leave the club in a few days.
Frimpong has already arrived in England and is set to be announced as Liverpool’s first signing of the summer, as per reports from Sky Sports.
The Premier League champions didn’t stop after signing the Dutch right-back from Bayer Leverkusen.
The club are also closing in on a deal with the German side to sign young midfielder and Frimpong’s teammate Florian Wirtz, as per reports via Fabrizio Romano.
Liverpool are also looking forward to bringing in 21-year-old left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.
The talks between the clubs are going positive, and the Reds are looking good to bring the Hungarian to Anfield, according to reports (via Fabrizio Romano).
The Merseyside club are also moving forward in the race to sign Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, as per reports from Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg.

The French forward has scored 22 goals in 48 games for the German side across all competitions this season.
The 22-year-old’s performances have been quite impressive in 2024/25 — that’s why Arne Slot wants him at Anfield.
On the other hand, Darwin Nunez wants to leave the club to join Atletico Madrid, and as per multiple reports, Liverpool have also marked him for sale this summer.
In the 2024/25 season, he only managed to score 5 goals in the Premier League and lost his starting spot in the XI.
With Nunez’s departure nearly confirmed, the club are now exploring the right replacement — and Slot might have identified Hugo Ekitike as the perfect choice to play for Liverpool.
