After the signing a right-back and an attacking midfielder, Liverpool supporters are almost united on what position the club need to improve next.

Liverpool have also agreed a fee with Bournemouth in the region of £40 million for the signing of left-back Milos Kerkez.

In terms of outgoings, Jarrel Quansah is nearing an exit.

The centre-back is close to joining Leverkusen in a deal worth £35 million.

Despite the young defender's potential departure, Liverpool supporters want the club to add more attacking firepower to the squad in addition to Wirtz and two flying full-backs.

In our ECHO poll, which received 7,713 responses, 72 per cent of fans picked 'striker' as the next position that should be prioritised in the window.

Perhaps with Quansah's potential exit in mind, centre-back is next highest with 18 per cent.

Beyond that, defensive midfield (four per cent), full-back (two per cent), attacking midfield (two percent), winger (one per cent) and goalkeeper (one per cent) polled minor numbers.

Supporters' desire for a new striker may stem from the potential departure of Darwin Nunez in this window.

The Uruguay international fell out of favour in the second half of last season and struggled in front of goal, scoring just five Premier League goals.

In the same poll, supporters were asked if they expect Nunez to leave the club this summer.

A whopping 91 per cent believed an exit was imminent, with just nine per cent expecting him to stick around.

"Reports in Italy have claimed Napoli are scheduling talks with Nunez's representatives ahead of a potential approach to Liverpool, who may be open to offloading the Uruguay international at the right price," wrote Paul Gorst for the ECHO about the striker's future this week.

"However, no direct contact has been made with Anfield chiefs as of yet, with Nunez currently enjoying an end-of-season holiday.

"AC Milan had been interested back in January with then head coach Sergio Conceicao a keen admirer of the Reds' No.9.

"However the Portuguese boss was relieved of his duties at the end of the season and it's unclear how much interest remains at San Siro following the decision."
