After months of speculation, Liverpool have landed highly rated English youngster Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea.

The Reds, were first linked with the youngster earlier this summer, following his exploits with the Chelsea academy.

But the transfer was delayed till after the transfer window, as Liverpool tried to complete the required process for the deal to be officially completed.

But the wait is now over for Ngumoha and Liverpool, as the Reds have now completed Premier League 5 step investigation process for the 16-year-old, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ngumoha himself all but confirmed the deal when he posted a farewell message on his Instagram account.

The Englishman has been a standout in Chelsea’s youth system, showcasing exceptional talent and versatility.

Playing primarily as a winger, he has demonstrated his ability to operate on either flank or as an attacking midfielder.

During the 2023/24 season, the Englishman won the Player of the Tournament award at the Premier League U16 Nationals and made his debut for Chelsea’s U21 team in January 2024, becoming one of the youngest players to achieve this milestone.

The 15-year-old winger, who has drawn comparisons to Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala, is expected to start life at Liverpool with the U18s.
