Liverpool’s preparations for the 2022/23 season start in earnest on July 4, a date that is among the latest for the Premier League this summer following their relentless schedule last season.
It’s a timeframe that is shorter than the majority of other Premier League clubs, who return to training in the coming days.
A few clubs are yet to have a definitive date for their return confirmed but the scheduling of pre-season games suggests a similar return frame over the coming seven to ten days.
The Athletic provided a list of some of the return dates, although Bournemouth confirmed their own with early testing photos.
There are six fixtures confirmed before the season opener at Fulham on August 6, with the Reds’ schedule spanning 33 days from the start of pre-season to their trip to Craven Cottage.
It is only Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Man City and Newcastle that are also anticipated to make their training return at the start of July, with the rest resuming earlier this week.
There will also be varied return dates within each club after international fixtures dragged on into the summer and the same could be seen at Liverpool.
