According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have already completed the signing of right-back Jeremie Frimpong as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The club is now just waiting to make it official.
As per the latest reports (via Mundo Deportivo), talks have also started between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid for the potential transfer of Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez.

The Uruguayan forward arrived at Anfield in 2022 with a massive €80 million price tag but hasn’t quite justified it.
In his early Premier League days, he was compared to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, but Nunez couldn’t live up to the expectations like the Norwegian star.
His form in the Premier League has dropped massively.
In the 2024/25 season, he’s managed just 5 goals in 29 Premier League matches and has also lost his starting place in the team.
Now, Nunez wants to leave Merseyside to regain his form and confidence.
He’s eyeing a fresh start in Madrid, and Atletico are actively exploring options to get the deal done as soon as possible.
Diego Simeone is also keen on bringing him to the Metropolitano, and the player’s side has no objections.
Darwin is desperate to make his way out of Anfield.
Liverpool might demand €35–40 million for a permanent transfer, but Atletico may prefer a loan deal with a mandatory buy clause included, in case a full transfer isn’t immediately possible.
Atletico fans might see a dynamic duo of Darwin Nunez and Julian Alvarez in La Liga from the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool are also in the middle of rebuilding their squad, so this move could work out well for both clubs.
