Henry - has stirred fans with a social media comment about Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have both signed contract extensions in the last three weeks, leaving Alexander-Arnold as the only prominent first-team player heading towards free agency.

Some reports indicate that the Liverpool-born right-back has given the green light for a summer move to Real Madrid, where he would join up with England pal Jude Bellingham.

But not all Reds supporters are ready to give up hope, and the sight of Alexander-Arnold in deep conversation with Henry after Sunday's title-winning victory over Tottenham was the latest sign of encouragement.

Pizzuti uploaded the photo as part of an Instagram slideshow to commemorate the title celebrations, and one fan, @gurjbola, commented: "Just throwing in that Trent photo [eyes emoji]." Pizzuti replied directly to that comment with only the eyes emoji, which is open to interpretation, but many are interpreting as 'watch this space'.

The American also 'liked' another comment on the post, which read: "Trent and uncle John look like they're having a good chin wag [eyes emoji]."

Although Pizzuti's interactions are only brief, they have still given Liverpool fans more to cling onto than Arne Slot's answers when quizzed on Alexander-Arnold's future in recent press conferences.

"It is for hours the same answer: we don't talk about these things when they are not done, and they are not," said the Dutchman earlier this month.

"[He] has shown his commitment and he shows me what a player he is when he is on a pitch and how much he works hard to be back with the team and the fans of LFC.
