Liverpool have pocketed more than £200m in player sales as Ben Doak heads to Bournemouth.

The Scotland international is finalising a £25m move to the south coast after undergoing a medical over the weekend.

He’s made just 10 first-team appearances for the Reds.

Liverpool have already sold Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah this summer.

That is helping to offset their huge summer spend in excess of £300m.

That will get even higher before the window closes with Marc Guehi wanted from Crystal Palace and the club still trying to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

But there will be more departures.

Kostas Tsimikas - now third-choice left-back after the arrival of Milos Kerkez - is wanted by Nottingham Forest.

Midfielder Harvey Elliott is wanted by RB Leipzig, who are likely to make a formal move once Chelsea target Xavi Simons’ future is decided.

Meanwhile a 47-year-old man has been bailed and told to stay away from football stadiums in the UK after he was accused of racial abuse against Bournemouth player Antoine Semenyo on Friday night at Anfield.

The Liverpool supporter was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and then bailed pending further investigations by Merseyside Police.

Semenyo reported the incident in the first-half of Liverpool’s 4-2 win over the Cherries but then starred in the game with a brilliant brace.

The following day, the 25-year-old Ghanaian international said on social media: “Last night at Anfield will stay with me forever – not because of one person’s words, but because of how the entire football family stood together.”

He thanked his teammates, Liverpool players and fans “who showed their true character”, and the Premier League officials “who handled it professionally”.
