Liverpool wanted a striker this summer and they could end up with three new ones before the window shuts.
The Reds looked desperate at one point to bring in a number nine, but it was understandable as they really needed someone more prolific than Darwin Nunez.
Hugo Ekitike looked like the man to become Liverpool’s new striker for years to come, mainly because they would not spend up to £79m on a back-up.
However, Alexander Isak could also soon join and whether he plays instead of Ekitike or alongside is yet to be seen.
The Reds are still planning for the future, however, despite both of these players being young, with the academy also about to sign a teenager who is tipped to go on to great things, with Liverpool stealing him away from Arsenal at the very last minute.

Throughout the transfer window, Salford City’s Will Wright has been hot property among all the top academies, with Arsenal one of those competing for his signature.
Liverpool did end their interest in Wright earlier in the window, with the Reds looking like they were going to miss out on a rising star.
However, after a few weeks of uncertainty, Liverpool re-entered the race and agreed a £200,000 transfer fee plus add-ons.

The story has developed quickly too with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Wright has now completed the second part of his medical and will be a Red very soon.

The 17-year-old, who scored 50 goals in academy football last season, will sign a three-year deal at Anfield.
The Liverpool academy have been excellent at procuring talent from across Britain over recent years, and this is certainly another one that could have a real difference in the long run.
Of course, at 17, Wright is not expected to go straight into the first team, but with 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha already making an impression, it would not be silly to suggest he would.
However, according to The Athletic, Wright will go into the Under 21s, who are now managed by former Wales boss Rob Page, to continue his development.
They report that the youngster has mainly played his football outside of a professional environment, and it’s felt that a move to an elite setting is now the right next step in his development.
Wright played three times for Salford’s first-team last season, with his debut coming against Manchester City in the FA Cup, a game they lost 8-0.
