Liverpool are reportedly not expected to sign a direct replacement for Luis Diaz this summer.

Following his exit, that leaves questions about the potential replacement Liverpool might sign.

The Athletic reports that no direct replacement will be signed.



Instead, Cody Gakpo is expected to feature more regularly, while teenager Rio Ngumouha, who has impressed during pre-season, will offer additional competition and cover.

Despite this, Spanish newspaper Marca (via Sport Witness) believes that Liverpool are 'increasingly likely' to make advances for Rodrygo following the departure of Diaz.

The Reds reportedly value the academy graduate at around £50m.
