Liverpool are likely to see a further number of high profile departures this summer as Arne Slot shapes the squad in his image.
The Reds have already lost both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher, who moved on to Real Madrid and Brentford respectively.
While Liverpool will be wary of too much change in what was a settled squad, Alexander-Arnold and Kelleher are highly unlikely to be the only two exits.
After a disappointing season on a personal level, rumours have been swirling that forward Federico Chiesa could look to leave after just one year with the club.
This week, after Chiesa admitted he is open to staying at Liverpool beyond the summer, hope had surfaced that the Italian could yet make a success of himself at Anfield.
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano has now squashed those hopeful feelings, reporting that Chiesa is keen to return home to Italy.

Chiesa has become a fan favourite at Liverpool despite his lack of playing time over the course of the season.
In the few chances he was given, the 27-year-old always looked lively and there was often bemusement at Slot’s refusal to give him more game time.

Chiesa’s chant has become a staple of Liverpool’s Premier League title-winning season and fans had been hoping to be able to use it for a little while longer at least.
However, according to Romano, the No.
14 is prioritising a return to Serie A ahead of the World Cup, with clubs already in contact over a move.

“Understand Federico Chiesa’s priority for this summer transfer window is to return to Italy,” says the reporter.
“Chiesa loves Liverpool but limited game time an issue and Italian clubs started contacts to be informed on potential deal conditions.”
Along with Chiesa, there have been rumours over just about every member of Liverpool’s forward line aside from Mohamed Salah.

Luis Diaz has been strongly linked with an exit, and if the Colombian were to leave, perhaps that would open the door to Chiesa getting the game time he is craving.
But Liverpool are standing firm on Diaz, and maybe Chiesa’s transfer stance is a reason for that.
Although he did not play much last season, Liverpool selling both Diaz and Chiesa, as well as potentially Darwin Nunez, in the same summer would be ill-advised.
There is a long way to go in the window and maybe if Slot offers some assurances to Chiesa he will change his mind, but for now, Liverpool are in danger of a mass exodus happening on their watch.
