Luis Diaz has started life at Bayern Munich strongly since leaving Liverpool.

The winger's latest triumph was a goal and assist each on his Bundesliga debut in a 6-0 thumping of RB Leipzig on Friday.

Diaz took his strike from inside the penalty area, cannoning in off the underside of the crossbar following a swift Bayern passing move.

That goal was the German champions' second of the night and later he would contribute again when teeing up England captain Harry Kane.

This latest display followed a headed goal on his competitive debut in the German Super Cup, helping the Colombian lift his first piece of silverware since leaving Liverpool.

Of the current Reds cohort, liking the post were Andy Robertson, Wataru Endo, Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, Florian Wirtz and Virgil van Dijk.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.

Lewis Koumas, who has just moved to Birmingham City on loan for the 2025/26 campaign, was also amongs those who reacted, as were two other players who were Diaz's teammates at Anfield before they too left in permanent transfers.

Darwin Nunez, who joined Al-Hilal shortly after Diaz's departure, and Fabinho, who joined Al-Ittihad in 2023, kept up their support for Diaz.

Jones and Gakpo even went a step further than the rest as they commented flame emojis and applauding emojis in response to Diaz's successful night with his new club.

Wirtz's reaction is also bound to pique interest as Diaz has already explained the role Liverpool's new £116m record signing played in his transfer to Germany.

"I already had some knowledge of the Bundesliga.

I had the opportunity to talk to Florian in Liverpool, and I know it's a physical league," the 28-year-old said, revealing talks with the man who would go on to inherit his No.7 shirt on Merseyside.

Wirtz had rejected Bayern's advances earlier this year when he chose to move to Liverpool instead.

Diaz's positive start to life at Bayern is showing Liverpool what they let go in return for a sizeable profit on a player who had two years remaining of his contract.

And it looks to be going down to the final week of the transfer window before the Reds finalise any deal for a replacement.
