Liverpool players send clear message after dramatic Newcastle United win

Liverpool players have given their response to the dramatic Premier League win over Newcastle United.

Liverpool had been pegged back from 2-0 up by the 10 men of Newcastle thanks to goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike.

Newcastle, who saw Anthony Gordon sent off late in the first half, however got themselves back into the game in the second half through goals from Bruno Guimaraes and William Osula.

Ngumoha came on for his Liverpool debut in the sixth minute of added time, and didn’t take long to make an instant impact, making the most of Dominik Szoboszlai’s clever dummy to put the ball past Nick Pope and into the back of the net.



It sparked scenes of wild celebration in the away end at St James’ Park and among Liverpool players on the pitch.

Fellow goalscorer Ekitike shared two pictures of him celebrating his goal.

Midfielder turned right-back Szoboszlai wrote: “What.

On his Instagram story, Harvey Elliott shared a post from Liverpool showing the youngster celebrating his goal, with the midfielder writing: “Proud of you young king.”

Former Liverpool man Tyler Morton also have his response, sharing a post from Liverpool on his own story, he wrote: “Special player.

Fully deserved brother.”

The 22-year-old completed a permanent move from Liverpool to French side Olympique Lyon earlier this month.

Nugomha himself has also taken to social media and has shared three posts from Liverpool and one from Szoboszlai on his own Instagram story.
