The harrowing incident is not being deemed terror-related by authorities, with police treating it as a lone, isolated matter.
In an internal email seen by the BBC, staff were informed that the club “will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities” and encouraged staff “to come together at this time to support each other” after postponing their planned events on Tuesday.
The move comes after a poorly timed social media post by Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, who put a picture online of himself kissing the trophy just two hours after a car had ploughed through hordes of fans in the city centre.
He has since deleted the post on X (formerly known as Twitter) following backlash.
Dave Kitchin of the North West Ambulance Service confirmed 27 people had been taken to hospital by ambulance during a late-night press conference.
"We can confirm that our teams treated 20 patients at the scene for minor injuries and these did not need hospital treatment," he said.
"Twenty-seven patients in total were taken to hospital by ambulance and we believe two of those, including one of the children, have sustained serious injuries."
Liverpool City Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram provided an update on Tuesday morning, confirming that there are four people who are "very ill" in hospital.

"I want to thank the police and emergency services for their swift and ongoing response to this shocking incident.
