Wrexham is interested in signing Liverpool left-back Owen Beck on loan, Liverpool.com understands.
Beck, 22, spent this season on loan at Blackburn, where he established himself as the Lancashire club's first-choice left-back before an injury ended his campaign early.
Beck turned out 26 times for Blackburn as Rovers chased a play-off spot but a hamstring injury saw him make just one more appearance after February 4.
After gaining a third straight promotion, Wrexham has earmarked Beck as a possible target ahead of its first season in English football's second tier since 1981-82.
Beck has impressed during his last two loan spells senior soccer, having also stood out while on loan at Dundee.
Beck's first two loan spells in senior soccer, with Portuguese club Famalicao and Blackburn's Lancashire rival Bolton Wanderers, did not exactly go to plan, with Beck not making a single appearance for the former and playing just nine times for the latter.
Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said of Beck in January 2024: “We were always pretty positive about Owen, but then he had two really difficult loan spells [at Famalicao and Bolton]
But at Dundee everything was fine and he made big steps."
Beck's possible loan departure comes as Liverpool closes in on a deal to sign Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth: the Reds have agreed a fee of around $54 million (£40 million) with the South Coast club for the 21-year-old.
Milos Kerkez looks set to join Liverpool this summer
Liverpool views Kerkez as the ideal long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, who is the subject of interest from Spanish outlet Atletico Madrid.
Having joined Bournemouth back in July 2023 from AZ Alkmaar, Kerkez has impressed under the guidance of Andoni Iraola, who recently brought in a replacement for Kerkez in the form of Adrian Truffert from Rennes.
Kerkez started all 38 Premier League games for Bournemouth last season, scoring six goals and registering two assists.
