Liverpool ready two offer to current stars in exchange for ‘fantastic’ 26-goal striker

Liverpool are certainly not messing around this summer and are willing to do whatever it takes to get their top targets.

Reds fans are starting to get excited about the prospect of having Florian Wirtz in their team next season, with his ability to unlock defences being one of the best in the world.

However, as of yet, they don’t have that clinical number nine that will maximise the German’s assists numbers and make the most of his inch-perfect passes.

A striker is high up on the wish list, for both the club and the fans, and the Reds do look set to go out and try and buy one.

Who that will be is yet to be seen, although there is one serious finisher who Liverpool are keeping close tabs on, and they may just offer two of their stars in exchange for his services.

Offloading some players is guaranteed to happen at Anfield as Liverpool need to balance the books.

Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are likely to leave after being unhappy with their playing time, but instead of commanding a fee for them, the Reds may just include them in a swap deal to sign one of the best strikers in the world.

According to TEAMtalk, Napoli and Liverpool have been in discussion regarding signing both of the Reds’ players, with Richard Hughes bringing up Victor Osimhen’s name as part of a potential swap deal.

Talks are still in the early stages but Liverpool see the 26-year-old as a very viable option, with the club able to use Napoli’s interest in their two stars to position themselves on the high ground.

This news comes after Osimhen slashed his wage demands as he looks for a move away, opening the door to the Reds as they desperately search for a new number nine.

Around £60m is what the Italian club would likely want for the Nigerian, and with Nunez valued at a similar price, there is a possibility this deal might just happen, especially with the addition of Chiesa.

Although he has been playing in Turkey for the past year, Osimhen is still capable of playing at the highest level and has proven he is a clinical goalscorer.

He is pacy, tenacious and has a keen eye for goal, three traits that would fit into Liverpool’s squad rather nicely, with his teammate Alvaro Morata labelling him as “fantastic” and “one of the best centre-forwards in the world.”

At just 26, he is still yet to hit his prime too, suggesting he will only get better and making him a frightening prospect for whoever gets their hands on him.

He would also be a cheaper alternative to other options such as Hugo Ekitike, with Eintracht Frankfurt wanting £85m for their star player.

Having the chance of offloading some fringe players in the process will also be beneficial to trim down the squad, suggesting this move has more pros than cons.
