Newcastle United's wantaway striker Alexander Isak has been spotted returning to the Magpies' training ground on Monday morning.
This immediately alerted Liverpool despite the Reds having already bought Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Luis Diaz was sold to Bayern Munich last week, clearing a path to bid for Isak.
This was done on Friday with an offer valued at £110m submitted.

Newcastle rejected the transfer out of hand and this appears to have warned off the Reds.
The ECHO understands that Liverpool currently consider it 'futile' to bid again while the Magpies are so adamant they will not sell their talisman.
However, in a fresh twist it appears that Newcastle and Isak are potentially set for talks.
As for Isak, he spent last week training in San Sebastian with his old club Real Sociedad as the uncertainty surrounding his future continues.
