Aston Villa emerged victorious in the race for Harvey Elliott on transfer deadline day, following a summer of speculation about where England's U21 Euros star might land.
It became evident that Elliott needed to seek a move away from Liverpool after spending too much time warming the bench under Arne Slot last season.
With only two Premier League starts last term, the 22-year-old is set to carve out his place at Villa Park under Unai Emery.
While the deal is initially a loan, an obligation-to-buy clause has been included in the contract, which will see Elliott become a permanent Villan for £35 million ($47 million) next summer.
