Gravenberch’s current deal with Ajax runs until 2023 meaning that the Dutch club have until the summer to command a significant fee, unless he signs a new deal.



The Leeds midfielder was another player who was linked to Liverpool during the summer and the speculation has continued around the 25-year-old’s future.



It was reported by the last month that Liverpool were allegedly battling with Manchester United to sign Phillips, who was apparently valued at £60m.

Chelsea are also named as a potential suitor in the report as Barcelona reportedly “cannot compete” with the financial resources available to Premier League clubs.

However, according to the report, the Uruguay international’s wage demands are higher than expected, while Liverpool are claimed to be “following its developments”.
